3D Projection Screen

Call it art, call it craziness or obsession ... this is something I have been dying to try. This is a personal project where I am using the Paper-Mache to create a screen where things appear to be floating in space.
We have all been to I-Max theaters. Due to its oval and concave shape and its massive size everything in those theaters appear to be in 3D form. I remember watching my first ever I-Max movie and jumped on my seat where my Aunt held my hand and asked me if I was OKAY (o_O) ... as funny and weird I felt I wanted a screen like of my own.
When in art school in SCSU, I have used a lots of media to make 3D effects. I love it, I can do it and I have done it. Besides a lots of skeptics I DID over come it without any scientific theories (KHAChING !!!) ... I wanted to build this screen for scholarship competition BUT due to certain LAZINESS circumstances I never got my BUTT off the couch. Now I have convinced bunch of my friends and  family to help me with this work. It will be about 2-3 weeks until I can have it functional ... now all I gotta say it ... LETS GO !!!

First we need the major SIFI shit !!!
Some cardboard, a whole lot of tape, a scale, may be a pen, good pair of scissors and tape.

Just the demo picture from a different angle.

And just like that the outer frame is done ... 30 minutes.

Got my brother invloved ... lets try his patience.

Good old microwave and kitchen stuff to make that arc.

Finally the shape shows up. Living in the world of Flat-screen, nothing beats the big-butt behind screen from the early century.

This was just a pose, I mean I've been doing this for almost 2 hours now, I deserve a picture.

Almost done ... 3+ hours.

Got a friend involved. Called him, he ran to my place and jumped in to making them frames. He now knows 3+ hours of work is a real back pain.

Fun time ... oh yah !!!

Got him involved in the same jail of project ... (~_^)
